I had an interesting Easter Sunday. I'd visited Highbury and Stamford Bridge the day before, and before flying out of Gatwick, I had to spend all of my left over pounds. I found a three disc compilation of alternative music from the late 70's and 80's. My cd player was buried in my bag, but I dug it out to listen to the cds while on the train from the airport into Vienna. I first listened to disc two because its first track was "Running up that hill," (which I listened to over and over a few days later while walking through St Germain des Pres). My friend Jeremy and I dismounted the train before getting to the city center to explore a cemetery. I had just visited the graves of Beethoven, Schubert, Strauss, and Brahms and had continued walking to find myself standing in front of the grave of Falco when I first heard this song, and the first thing that came to my mind was that this song sounds like it should have been written by mr ahhh the arctic cat.
Furniture - Brilliant Mind
This song I discovered between Vienna and Paris. This is the song I should have written for Dr Wow.
Roxy Music - Angel Eyes
